Woocommerce provides the option to sell tickets online and print. The printed ticket can include a barcode, which can be entered in manually, or you can scan it quickly with a hand terminal—tablet, smartphone, or USB connected device.
How to Use
- Install a barcode scanner app. Below are smartphone apps you can use to scan in barcodes
- iScan for iOS (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch)
- Barcode Scan to Web for iOS (some users have reported issues with iScan—this is an alternative that has worked for them)
- Barcodescanner Keyboard for Android
- iScan for iOS (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch)
- Login to scan page. The ticket-taker should first pull up a private barcode scan page, which would be located on your website. By default, the url is www.[yourdomain].com/scan
- Scan in the barcode. Simply scan the printed barcode, and select the desired actions on the order linked
- Look up – This will simply look up the order details and display them on screen.
- Complete order – This will mark the order as complete and then display the order details on screen.
- Check in – This will marked the order as ‘checked in’ and then display the order details on screen.
- Check out – This will marked the order as ‘checked out’ and then display the order details on screen.
- Look up – This will simply look up the order details and display them on screen.
